Nature of Organization
Safe Hand Center is an organization created to help patients who are diagnosed with cancer. The organization offers in-patient chemotherapy and medical services that help people with the condition. As an in-patient clinic, it offers health care services where patients are taken care of through administration of cancer medication. Safe Hand Center treats more than ten types of cancer including lung, colon, prostate, liver and breast cancer. The offered services are unique since the organization deals with patients who are diagnosed with any cancer. In comparison, some healthcare organizations do not offer cancer services since they lack the appropriate resources to treat the condition.
The organization structure of Safe Hand Center comprises of the supervisors, employees, health practitioners and the CEO. The organization requires Registered Nurses with a diploma or associate degree in oncology care. Besides, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Associate of Science in Nursing will also be a requirement for someone to be given priority to work at Safe Hand Center. Employees are required to have different nursing skills and experience to work in the organization. Some of the skills required consist of critical thinking, compassion, and confidence. Through critical thinking, nurses can ensure that they assess patient’s health and monitor any changes based on their cancer condition (Maciosek, 2017).

The supervisors should have leadership skills that will help them in effective decision-making. In this case, the CEO is the head of the organization whose duty is to ensure that the organization is provided with sufficient resources that will help treat the cancer patients. The organization is also licensed to show that the cancer services they offer are legalized and approved by the government. Employees working at Safe Hand Center will be expected to have received their certifications from the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) and Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation. Lastly, they should be members of the Oncology Nursing Society. There are also laws and regulations governing the patients by ensuring that they are offered safe healthcare services based on the cancer treatment.
