Given the current pandemic coronavirus situation, statistical data exists concerning other illnesses and human diseases such as HIV/AIDS and Cancer. Cancer and HIV statistics contains descriptions of the burden of the diseases on society. This delves into the analysis of the statistical data presented by various United States databases concerning cancer and HIV. It describes the approximated number of people who have been diagnosed with and die from these diseases each year. The paper also contains the number of individuals who are living with diseases at a given time. The statistics also tell the differences of infections of these diseases among groups defined by geographical location, ethnic group, sex and age. 

Concerning the cancer menace, National Cancer Institute (2018), records that the number of new cancer cases is 439.2 per 100,000 people per year. The number of deaths resulting from the cancer diseases is 163.5 per 100,000 individuals. Cancer mortality has been higher among the males more than females basing the evaluation of cancer concerning sex. In this case, the death of this disease is 139.6 per 100,000 women and 196.8 per 100,000 men National Cancer Institute, 2018). On comparison of the sex and race, cancer mortality is recorded to be higher in African American males, which records 239.9 per 100,000 men. On the other hand, its death is lower on Pacific/Asian Islander women at 88.3 per 100,000 women. In 2016, there were estimations which showed that there were 15.5 million survivors of cancer in America. From this statistic, the number of people who will survive cancer illness is estimated to increase up to 20.3 million by 2026. Basing on the 2013-2015 data, about 38.4% both men and women will have cancer by 2026. In 2017, around 15,270 teenagers and adolescents within 0-19 ages were diagnosed with cancer, which led 1,790 of them dying of the disease.

According to the statistical data presented by HIV.GOV (2019), about 38,000 new HIV infections are recorded each year n the United States. Today, about 1.1 million people in the United States are living with HIV, and approximately 14 per cent of them are not aware if they are infected. The US government has proposed recently to terminate the HIV Epidemic by reducing its transmission. From 2020-2016, the yearly number of HIV infection incidences decreased among the people ageing from 13-24 and 45-54, however in increased among the people between 25-34 (HIV.GOV 2019). During this time, the number of HIV infection cases remained stagnant among individuals aged 33-44 and those aged 55 years and above. Between the same period, the annual infectious HIV numbers reduced among the African Americans but remained constant among Hispanics/Latinos and Asians. It decreased among the women but remained stagnant among the men. As per the heterosexuals, women and men accounted for 16% and 7% of HIV diagnoses respectively. In 2017, in US, there were 16,350 casualties among the adolescents and adults. 

In conclusion, the paper has analyzed statistical data presented by United states databases on Cancer and HIV. The two diseases have been recorded to be significant diseases threatening the lives of many people in the United States and the whole world before the coronavirus epidemic. These two human diseases have been a threat to each individual and have a significant impact on society in the US and the entire world. The records show that there are people who are living with these diseases without knowing and thus, each individual needs to carry out diagnoses. The statistics have proven cancer infections to be increasing on men compared to women, and high among the African Americans compared to other races.
