Caring for Persons with Life Threatening Illness
It is never easy when caring for a person, could be a loved, a close relative or a friend, diagnosed with a life-threatening illness. Actually, it could be the most difficult thing one can ever have to experience. Unfortunately, it is also unavoidable that we all deal with such form circumstance in life.
I have not had an experience with a person having a life-threatening illness. However, if I would have someone, I would feel shocked but concerned at the same time. This is because any kind of health crisis indicates a significant change in the life of a person and that is frightening. In addition, it is because the way I think activities should be or would have been is derailed suddenly, and such a sudden change is very hard to process by either parties (that is psychologists, doctors and persons that have gone through life threatening illness).
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
On the other hand, I will support the affected person so as to try make the tough time a little easy. I will try to say something instead of staying silent in order to acknowledge the situation and also for the affected person to know that I am there for them. I will employ empathetic and authentic statement such as “I am not certain what to do to assist, however, I care for you.” From the reading it recommends taking off a routine task from the to do list of the person with a life-threatening illness.
