Reasons for Noncompliance in Patients

Multiple reasons may hinder the compliance of patients with the prescribed medication. For instance, physician-oriented causes of patients' noncompliance may result from an ineffective relationship between physicians and clients. Additionally, patients may fail to comply with the prescribed medication because of poor or lack of effective communication between customers and the physician. Lack of effective communication between physicians and patients hinders the discovery of the actual causes of health issues and noncompliance among the clients ( Holm-Pedersen, Walls, & Ship, 2015) . Poor communication of physicians with patients may not permit clients to discover their health conditions and how the recommended medication may assist in addressing their ill-health issues. Consequently, pharmaceutical corporations, patients, and doctors or physicians should ensure effective collaboration to combat noncompliance to medication. Particularly, physicians should explain the usage of the prescribed medication and the significance of accomplishing the dosage or maintaining effective compliance with medication.

Potential Complications Resulting from an Abnormal Heart Rhythm

A substantial number of people experiences abnormal or irregular heartbeat: arrhythmia, occasionally. Even though arrhythmias may not affect a healthy person negatively, the abnormal heartbeat may cause cardiac death in people with heart problems. Furthermore, arrhythmia may result in a stroke. People experiencing stroke have atrial fibrillation, which results from ineffective pumping of blood. Inadequate pumping of blood cause blood clot in the arteries. Dislodge of blood clots causes blockage on the brain artery, subsequently leading to stroke in a person ( Bhatt, 2016 ). Stroke causes damage to a person's brain; consequently, emergency treatment helps in preventing further brain damage.

According to Bhatt (2016 ), arrhythmia causes extended bradycardia or tachycardia, which promote heart failure. Heart failure results in insufficient pumping of blood to various body parts and organs. Consequently, the application of radiofrequency ablation, surgery may assist in addressing the complication of tachycardia in a patient.
