The healthcare system should adopt the following new trends that are capable of ensuring that there is an improvement in service delivery to customers. For instance, service delivery in the healthcare system can be improved by focusing on collaboration and convergence among nurses in creating system plans (Scully, 2015). The most successful programs are those that reflect the needs of different people in the healthcare system. Healthcare facilities should create an opportunity for nurses to exercise their education and training in full context within a healthcare system (Grossman & Valiga, 2016). Currently, nurses play an essential role in interacting with customers and interacting with patients in a healthcare facility. However, their role in leadership has been undermined both in training and the workplace. Soon, there is a need for ensuring healthcare facilities implement a working condition that is designed to support workers. This program will create a chance for nurses to exercise leadership practices in the decision-making process.
Healthcare system policies should ensure that there is more focus on making policies that affect the patient rather than the illness. This strategy indicates that there should be a focus on providing that nurses become part of policy changing program. Policymakers focus on making policies designed to fight diseases that become a threat to a company (Grossman & Valiga, 2016). However, such plans fail to achieve desired goals because they lack the input of nurses in the healthcare system. Nurses interact with patients daily. As a result, they are capable of becoming advocates for the rights of patients, run professional operations in an organization, and initiate changes (Scully, 2015). However, they have not been in a position to achieve this objective because physicians and policymakers undermine their roles. In effect, nurses need an opportunity to participate in developing policies that can improve service delivery in the healthcare system.
