Child protection policy refers to the regulations and laws addressing child protection from exploitation, neglect, violence, and abuse. The primary goal of child protection policies includes but not limited to educating people concerning child abuse, promoting a friendly culture where all people are committed to ensuring the safety of children against all forms of abuse, violence, exploitation, and neglect (Lang & Hartill, 2014) .

The community leaders and state lawmakers consider changes in laws aiming at protecting children in reply to an independent review of the system. The upcoming proposal is to create a new category of reported abuse. Previously the case was either founded or not founded, but the current classification establishes that the unfounded cases should be presented with underlying concerns (Barth, 2017) . In this instance, the official letter has to be produced with details about troublesome issues that can be used if other grievances are made. Everyone should understand and make sure that the children affected by the middle category are assured of protection. Counselling and child protection services are now documented in magazines and newspaper but suffer a drawback of insufficient resources allocation to create public awareness effectively.

At the beginning of the twentieth century, most people believe that children are not the property of their parents and government agencies should intervene in case of emotional and physical abuse (Bloom & Phillips, 2017) . When a report is made, children are usually taken to a care unit. Additionally, regularly amendments have given a great decision to child protection agencies and power to take action when protecting children. The new principle that every child matters provides that officials should not dismiss cases because of the cultural background of the child. Consequently, the law has established that in the case of a conflicting family, the child safety should be placed ahead and a trusted neighbour can be approved to take care of the children. The central values addressed in the child protection policy is love and care for all children and promotion of fundamental rights for children (Bloom & Phillips, 2017)

One of the strategies to enact policy change is to ensure cross integration through data sharing across multiple sectors. In Texas, a new strategic plan relying on evidence-based approach was formulated. The strategy emphasises evaluation, expansion of Evidence Bases Practices (EBPs), and research presenting positive financial return on investment as pay off from home visiting and youth mentoring programs (Brookman-Frazee, 2018) . Despite the government responsibility of taking care of the abused children, the parents should be educated on how to solve family issues effectively without engaging the children.

Another key strategy in addressing child protection is education. Children, volunteers, and staff should be trained on how to prevent child abuse. Similarly, children should be educated on their rights, safety techniques on steps to take in case of a violation. Additionally, children protection information should be incorporated into children international programs to reach a broader audience and emphasise the importance of children protection (Boyden, 2015) . The government should focus on preventive care which is mainly done through public awareness about child rights. The established laws and regulations face the problem of implementation, and sufficient resources should be allocated for practical application (Huebner at al., 2014)

Through the implementation of child protection services, it has promoted quality care of the declining number of children care institutions. Additionally, quality family-based care options have been developed by new legislation. The quality of protection response has improved significantly through multidisciplinary efforts for effective implementation of national protective environment policies. The future of child protection policy aims at strengthening individuals and families and reduces instances of child abuse and neglect. The efforts to educate communities should be emphasised about harmful repercussions of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). Similarly, integration of prevention programs, laws, and multiple social service sectors will ensure best outcomes for children and families.
