Summary of the Assessment 

From the assessment, it is evident that the respondent is so informed about their health and general healthcare issues. It is important to have a regular healthcare examination in a proper healthcare facility, and the assessment revealed that the respondent does this regularly. Healthcare facilities nowadays provide scanning for chronic diseases, especially cancer. People are constantly reminded to take advantage of these medical examinations to help them identify diseases before they get to a worse stage. For example, the respondent stated that they usually go for a wellness checkup. As a result, the respondent is in a better position to identify a chronic disease before it advances. The second respondent is a woman, and she is also going for regular checkups considering the last time she went for a mammogram x-ray. However, the prostate's response is negative in that the respondent who received the question did not provide an answer. 

The assessment also revealed that smoking cigarettes is not a big problem. Additionally, it revealed a high level of bodily exercise for the person. The respondent on the issue of physical exercise stated that he undertakes physical exercise four times a week. It is a good indication of how people are mindful of their health and general well-being. The respondent spends an average of five hours doing a sedentary activity. The assessment indicates that the person also has a healthy diet with vegetables and salad as well. Drinking enough amount of water per day is important for normal body functioning. From the assessment, the respondent takes 5 cups of water daily without taking soft drinks. There is no intake of drugs and this indicates that the respondent is conscious of their health and wellbeing. From the response, the respondent generally believes they are living a good lifestyle. They believe that a good lifestyle involves exercise, eating healthily, and exercise.

Healthy Eating and Obesity 

Healthy eating is an important topic in health education, especially since obesity is increasingly becoming a major health problem. According to Smethers and Rolls (2018), the prevalence of overweight populations is becoming a global issue. The condition is a complex multifactor chronic ailment. The increasing obesity cases are primarily caused by bad dietary practices, with people increasingly consuming junk foodstuff available at an affordable price. The current eating behavior and the choices people make when eating promote too much intake of energy food items. Therefore, it is a major challenge for healthcare educators to begin carrying out public education and sensitization on how to avoid obesity (Mu et al., 2017). Looking at the healthcare trends, the present recommendation for overweight or obese people is on healthy eating, which involves the intake of food items with important nutrients for the body. It also advocates for limitations of energy intake in food consumed so that people can regulate their body weight and avoid obesity. 

The issue of obesity and unhealthy eating is also important because of the health risks that people get into as a result of getting obese. From a health education perspective, it is always important to educate the public on measures that they can have in place to prevent the occurrence of diseases as opposed to treating those diseases after they have occurred. Obesity causes health complications such as hypertension, type two diabetes, and coronary health complications. These health complications translate to an economic burden for households and the country. As of now, healthcare costs are on the rise and the number of people who are unable to healthcare services and treatment. 

Nursing Diagnosis for Obesity 

The diagnosis of obesity involves an examination of the healthcare history of the patient. It includes the review of weight loss history and the eating habit of the patient. Secondly, it is important to have a general physical examination of the body by checking body weight and other signs of being overweight and potential of developing obesity, including measuring blood pressure and body temperature. The calculation of the body mass index also helps in telling the signs of the development of obesity in a person. When the BMI is 30 or above, the person is generally considered obese (Hruby & Hu, 2015). The BMI check should be conducted at least once every year as a way of constantly assessing the body weight and determining if the overall health risks that a person may get are as a result of obesity. The growing waist circumference is also a vital indicator of the rate at which someone is gaining weight. As a result, a person should have his or her waist circumference measured to provide a proper assessment for obesity and associated health risks. 

It is important to carry out checkups for other health problems because they may indicate the seriousness of the bodyweight state. Examining high blood pressure and diabetes provides a way someone can diagnose obesity and keep the related health issues on the check. Most of the tests carried out depend on the health status of a person and the risk factors associated with that health condition. Having a blood test can keep testing the development of health complications associated with obesity. 

Conclusion 

The outcome of the assessment indicates that people are aware of the dangers of chronic diseases such as cancer, and they are constantly going for a health checkup and scanning for chronic disease. However, obesity is also becoming a major health problem that healthcare educators need to sensitize people about.
