Within the healthcare system, a supplier is considered to be the practitioner or physician. A supplier can as well be considered as an entity that offers healthcare. Just as it has been stated in the student’s post, provides include; hospice agency, rehabilitation, home health agency, hospitals, among many others (Davis, 2012) . Although there are many different players when it comes to the process of filing a claim, the main ones however are; the government, the patient, and the private insurances. There are two major types of claims; professional claims, and institutional claims. The main similarity between these two types of claims is that both are submitted using the mandated transaction of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). In claim processes, ethics is a major player as it has quite an essential role (Sinclair, 2014) . Each individual that either accepts or submits a claim needs to make sure that all payments are for services rendered to a patient.

In healthcare, the process of medical billing insurance claim begins once a healthcare provider has treated a patient and a bill sent to a designated player of services provided (Vines, 2013) . In most cases this designated player is a health insurance firm. Based on different factors, the player does an evaluation of the bill and determines if there is any service to be reimbursed. Just as the student has stated, a supplier is a physical, an entity, or a practitioner furnishing healthcare services. There are two types of claims as the student states. That is CMS-1500 claims, and UB-04 claims (Harrington, 2016) . The primary difference between these two types of claims is that, while CMS-1500 claims file for a professional claim, UB-04 claim, on the other hand, is used to files for an institutional claim.
