Part A: Audience Selection
The target audience for the communication is the rehabilitation center’s senior management. This audience will include such officials as the chief executive and the officers in charge of such functions as finance, administration, human resource management, and legal and compliance. In selecting the senior management to constitute the audience, a number of considerations were made. One, it was felt that the senior management will hold the key to a successful expansion. When the senior managers fully understand the need for expansion, they are able to gather the resources needed to ensure success. Two, the senior managers can rally other stakeholders to fully support the implementation of the expansion. For instance, the chief executive can speak with sponsors to fund the expansion and the employees to commit their entire effort to facilitate successful implementation.
