Interpersonal communication refers to communication that happens between people. In the three photos, there are nonverbal forms of communication and one can decipher what the intended message might be without talk. In the first picture, there is use of gestures and facial expressions. The raising of the hand can mean ‘stop’ or ‘enough’. In either case, it shows that he is trying to end the conversation which according to their facial expressions did not please him. The lady’s risen palm as well shows that she is either trying to explain herself or asking the man to explain himself. In the second and third picture, there is the use of subtle signs as a form of nonverbal communication. The sitting position of the man suggests a state of relaxation and recklessness. The fact that he let his shirt hang loose portrays a care free person who lacks keenness or interest. In the last photo, the lady’s facial expression shows strictness and authority. The folding of her hands and the position of the pen portrays power. She is composed and in control.
Question Two
There are three types of interpersonal communication; verbal communication, written communication and nonverbal communication. Nonverbal communication methods include body language, facial expressions, gestures, the use of visual images and the use of non-verbal sounds such as laughing or sighing. Body language is referred to as the most authentic way of communication as one can interpret a lot from what they see. In the above photos, different types of nonverbal communication have been depicted. The use of gestures, giving subtle signs, body language, and facial expressions is evident in the three photos. In the first photo for instance, there is use of gestures and facial expressions while in the second photo and the third photo there is use of subtle signs. Additionally, there is use of body language in the second photo and facial expression in the third photo.

Part Three
Written type of interpersonal communication has evolved over the years. From the era of pictograms to the era of writing on paper and other common writing system to the final stage of transmitting information through electronic waves and other electronic signals. Written information can be classified as either descriptive, narrative, expository or argumentative. By reading a text, you can be in a position to explain the tone and the attitude of the author on the topic at hand. By analyzing the two quotes-quotes by J F Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. - on America and its people, the differences in the approach of the matter is seen by the type of words used and how the speaker says them.
Both quotes illustrate a state of disappointment and bitterness. Kennedy’s quote shows disappointment in the American people for not owning America and by believing their rights come from God and not the generosity of the state. He terms it as a revolutionary belief that even their forbearers fought. The bitterness can be felt by his description of the new generation of Americans. On the other hand, Martin is disappointed in the neglect of the black community and the unfulfilled promises made to the entire America. He is bitter that the blacks are underprivileged and not given the same opportunities as the whites. In both cases however, the speakers are adamant about the opinions they hold and will effect what they both deem right regardless of the consequences. Kennedy is ready to fight for the prosperity of America while Martin is ready to fight for the position of the black people in America. In both cases, the speakers do not expect to lose.
