Both the American and the Asian educational system are dedicated to providing quality educational services to their students. Both the systems are committed to preparing the students for real-life challenges and problems. However, with the variation in the cultural beliefs in the different continents, there are a lot of differences that one can note from the educational system that is being offered in Asia and the one that is being offered in the United States. Some of the major differences that can be observed in the educational system in the two regions are in the relationship between the teacher and the students, the classroom participation, the role of the private system and the grading system that is in the two regions.
Students in the United States have better chances of getting to the university/college compared to the students in Asia. This is because America is exposed to more opportunities and schools compared to Asia. There are a lot of high schools and colleges in the United States compared to Asia. The difference in infrastructure has led to the situation where most of the US citizens can acquire or proceed to college/university from high school compared to Asia where the existing schools cannot absorb the big population of Asian students.

The admission standards that have been put for other races to join a high school or colleges in the United States are higher. The Asian-America make up to 5% of the population of the public high school. 26% of the undergraduate enrolments were in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and 22% of those admitted are admitted to Harvard University ( Heng, 2018) . Both continents, America and Asia have different standards for results that they have set for getting into the university/college after high school ( Vickers, 2013) . In the United States, a total of about 16 million students were enrolled in colleges and universities from high school. The number of students in the Pre-K through 12th grade was about 74.6 million students in the United States ( Yang 2019) . It, therefore, indicates that a huge portion of students does not get to qualify to get to the public institutions. Some choose private schools while others travel abroad. In Asia, statistics show that out of the 2.9 million students that graduated from high school in Asia, only 1.9 million of the students were enrolled in college/university ( Yang, 2018) . It shows that a huge portion of students in Asia also doesn’t join higher institutions. Top students in America either go to MIT or Harvard. However, top students in Asia prefer to go to the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Peking University or the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology ( Hyunn. 2014) .
The turnout in the student turnouts in terms of jobs and GPA is higher in the United States compared to Asia. The educational system in Asia looks into IQ development while the US system looks into the EQ development ( Vickers, 2013) . In Asia, statistics show that in regions that have high average performance also has the lowest percentage of low performing students ( Scott 2017) . Singapore, Shanghai, South Korea and Hong Kong are ranked as the global top ten. The region also contains the lowest percentage of lowest levels GPA. It is an indication that the students turn out bright and thus have more chances of securing job opportunities. The different ways in which they are taught in their classroom setting, and different values contributes to the changes ( Shulman, 2018) . Asia focuses so much on test scores while America focuses on the success rates. The Asian system puts more pressure on students in America. It helps Asia to produce bright students with class content though with less focus on its application as compared to the US.
