Conflict is a process that can be a positive, negative or healthy within a work environment. It is one of the problems in the organizations especially in hospitals where interactions occur. Besides, nurses and other healthcare team members interact differently resulting in a probability of increasing conflict in hospitals.

Goal conflict occurs due to the disagreement between individual groups and norms like stand behavior. Nurses and other healthcare professionals may have a negative attitude towards their work and hence result in conflict with their manager if he fails to meet nurse’s needs. It can be solved by engaging the director of the healthcare and the nurses in negotiation through honest discussion.

The second type of conflict is effective conflict. It occurs when feeling and emotions within an individual are incompatible.Additionally, the nurses and physicians offer different views regarding patient care to the manager. Negotiation between nurses and physician should be involved to control their emotions (Sexton et al. 2016).

Cognitive is another conflict resulting from different ideas of individuals. Additionally, nurses and other professional may offer a different point of view to health care team to provide the quality patient. Negotiation between health care team, professional and nurses come up with one idea of treating patients.

Finally, procedural conflict occurs due to differences among the professional and nurses over the process to use to solve certain problems in hospitals. Negotiation between them should be involved to outline their needs and wants in solving the problem.

Notably, the reason as to why I fell each type of negotiation is best is because after the negotiating problem is solved. Every person is involved in the negotiation and gives out his idea and finally, come up with one solution.
