The manner in which an individual or organization manages their business usually determines whether the enterprise will be successful or not. It is a sort of tool that is utilized to produce and maintain relevance, demand, competition, as well as reputation. Marketing is, therefore, important because it is an actual way of engaging consumers. Consumer engagement includes furnishing them with relevant information regarding the business and products or services. It is essential because it assists in building and maintaining the organization's reputation; this is due to the fact that the lifespan and growth of a firm are usually correlated to its status. Notably, marketing is generally a communication channel that is utilized to enlighten consumers. It enlightens a firm's consumer base regarding the services and products that are offered to them. Moreover, through this medium, consumers are inclined to be aware of the value of the services and products. 

Besides, in consumer marketing engagement, an organization's mission statement is an overall statement of the manner in which an organization will achieve its vision. Managers play a vital role in ensuring that employees adhere to the firm's mission and objectives to achieve the vision, which is usually to satisfy consumers. For a firm to ensure effective customer engagement, a company needs to offer its customers real value. In this case, a firm must lead with genuine content that is useful to customers to ensure an effective engagement strategy. Also, there is a need to inspire individuals. In this case, despite people valuing useful information, they, at times, require inspiration. Therefore, as a firm that seeks to establish an effective management strategy, there is a need to share the brand's vision and also making a brand an agent of social significance. Sharing a brand's vision implies that a firm is humanizing the brand. It is essential as it makes clients feel that their needs are understood, and hence, they can relate to the brand.

On the other hand, other strategical factors include keeping conversations going. In this case, a firm needs to make follow-ups on its products by requesting clients to provide feedback on the services and products that they have purchased. As a result, it enables a firm to understand whether clients are satisfied with its products hence creating an effective consumer engagement plan. Another strategy is the provision of entertainment value. Despite purely engaging in marketing activities, clients at times like to be entertained. This creates a significant opportunity for customer's engagement in marketing. Hence, if a firm operates in online platforms, there is a need to come up with online interactive games like "where's my Wallet," which was initially used by Commonwealth Bank to enhance customer engagement. Besides, there is the building of a community. This can be achieved by giving clients a chance for dialogue among them. This can be done by asking for various opinions and insights about the firm's operations. Clients should also be brought together in online social-sharing community platforms. Hence, this creates cohesion, which, in turn, results in effective customer engagement. 

Conclusively, customer engagement is of significance since it shows how much a firm values its client's business and how the firm is striving to assist them in meeting their objectives. The tenets that make up customer engagement include clients' success being a firm's success, sharing of client data across various firm teams, maintaining a proactive and personalized type of communication and also, ensuring continuous growth and improvement in the firm. Hence, this results in a firm earning customers' trust that is eventually transformed into success.
