Individuals from this culture are being attracted by this religion and understanding the nature of this conversion is important. This is because this understanding can provide details of why members of the PERKIM Langkawi are being attracted by the Islamic religion (Adnan and Nor, 2017). The major focus of this article was to review the understanding of the new converts concerning their new religion. From this article, one can easily point out the feature of PERKIM Langkawi and its relationship with the Islamic culture. Converts in this region have shown great interest in the Islamic religion, and the article aims at reviewing the reasons behind their increased interest (Adnan and Nor, 2017).

Quantitative research was used in the article and methods such as survey and interviews were employed to collect data from the new converts (Adnan and Nor, 2017). New Islamic converts were involved in the surveys since they were still new to the Islamic religion. Results from the interview suggested that new converts adapted to the new religion within a short period (Adnan and Nor, 2017). Their understanding of the new culture was influenced by different factors such as race, age, and status (Adnan and Nor, 2017). Most of the respondents were females, and this showed that this gender had a high interest in the Islamic religion compared to men in the PERKIM Langkawi. Age was also a determinant factor, and from the results, it was clear that converts below 20 years were quick to adapt to the new religion compared to those above 20 years (Adnan and Nor, 2017). Generally, it was concluded that new converts in PERKIM Langkawi required guidance to adapt to the new Islamic religion (Adnan and Nor, 2017). The converts also required motivation due to some of the challenges they experienced at the beginning of their new religion.
