Corrections Agency Career requirements demand that the applicant fulfills performance requirements in a recommendation letter, demonstrating that the applicant possesses professional leadership in this field. Additionally, the agent must show thorough knowledge and apply Evidence-based practice, which the supervisor must document. The position requires an applicant to show established, fully met standards, and exceeds standards over the past two years with no written reprimands within one year. This career's starting salary ranges from $ 26.89-$ 39.62, particularly in the Department of Corrections and other county agencies across all locations in the state (Minnesota Department of Corrections, 2021). Generally, a corrections agency position requires an applicant to perform investigative services to the court and referral services to offenders to protect the public and facilitate law-abiding behavior. Potentially, a corrections agency career is a job prospect that requires an applicant to have the ability to independently handle the most complicated supervision cases and offer consultation, mentorship, and training to junior agents. Similarly, a corrections agency should also have the capacity to guide senior agents in supervision and assessment tasks of offenders to recommend appropriate supervision levels.

The basic training for a corrections agency career requires an applicant to have met a related job agency training past two years preceding the post start date application. Besides, an applicant must go through a ten-hour training in EBP during each of the past two years preceding the application start date (Minnesota Department of Corrections, 2021). However, graduation coursework is not considered a contribution to training—unfortunately, this a career with some challenges for me. The backbone for a corrections agency is its workforce's competence and, therefore, the complexity of tasks (Russo, 2019). As an agent, this is a position that has significant effects on offenders' lives and prospects with whom one interacts with.

Additionally, the wider community where the offenders live or where they will get back expects quality satisfaction. For me, the paramilitary structures that one operates are inflexible, and the workloads are overwhelming. The increasing demands from this career and limited human resources pose a difficulty in maintaining quality performance.
