Counterterrorism is a measure that has been put in place by the government to eliminate terrorism worldwide, where governments work together to achieve these goals. It incorporates various bodies such as the military, intelligence services, law enforcers. The strategy primary uses the national government power and network to neutralize the activities of terrorism. The main goal for eliminating terrorist groups is to protect the peoples and the interest of the country. Some of the measures that are in place to combat terrorism involve controls on the border. Through this, illegal migrates who link to terrorism are prevented from entering. Registration systems on entry and exit points have been implemented to foster this strategy. The military force has dramatically helped in reducing terrorism activities because of their increased commitment involvement. The military is highly trained on how to suppress and eradicate activities by terrorist groups ( Darden 2018). The fact that they are highly trained and have the needed equipment’s to ambush these groups they become more relevant to fight this menace. The military is involved in gathering information from social media and other networks to locate any suspicious activities. Besides, it helps in reducing the scope of terrorism and identifying where their support comes. Moreover, armies from the US and other developed countries go to other nations where terrorism is more prominent. Other measures in place to prevent terrorism include initializing campaigns that create awareness where people are asked to report suspicious activities within the communities. The government also put in place strategies that prevent terrorists from accessing technology, which is used to recruit new members. Lastly, countries have now strengthened partnerships where they work together to compress and fight against terrorism.
