Various governments and health practitioners’ drive the need to have affordable health care, creation of patient-centered medical homes, and Accountable Care Organizations (ACO). The overall goal is the enhancement of the quality of services offered to the patients. As defined by Batalden and Davidoff (2007), the process of quality improvement entails the usage of a mixture of efforts to improve the clinicians’ skills and knowledge to improve the patients’ health. While discussing how continuous quality improvement has impacted the health care industry, this essay highlights what has played the most significant role in its championing with reasons.
Basing of the definition of the process of quality improvement, it is evident that the main goal of the process is the enhancement of the clinicians' knowledge and skill and improvement of the patients' health. The goals are continuously being achieved through a multi-approach.
