The culture is known as "The Midians." It got its name from River Midian, the river flowing between the two villages comprising the members that form this culture. It is a small group of people located in the Middle East at the border between Pakistan and India. The society is composed of an exciting group of hardworking people that believe in Agriculture as the primary way of sustaining their families. The community is organized in classes depending on the social and political abilities. At the top is the bourgeoisie who own large tracts of land while at the lower end include the proletariat who are the working class and mainly find the livelihood from working in farms for the rich people.

The dominant family structure among the “Midians” is the traditional one which comprises with two married individuals and children whom the parents take care of (Martin, 2012). The young people mainly learn skills through the formal education system. However, due to a strong emphasis on agriculture, apprenticeship is emphasized as a way of learning practical skills. The younger members of the society must accompany their parents to the farms as early as the age of 9. Furthermore, the society has its sets of traditions that dictate how people are required to live. Sex before marriage is highly prohibited and infidelity among husbands and wives is almost regarded to as murder. The society follows a set of rules known as the "Mikin" which majorly focuses on discipline and respect for the gods.

Any violation of the “Mikin” is tantamount to punishment from the council of elders. Punishments of minor misdoings such as theft can be punished by paying currency or material goods to the victim. However, infidelity, sex before marriage, and murder automatically lead to excommunication accompanied by a lifetime curse on the perpetrator. Religion is a fundamental part of the culture with members subscribing to a unitary religion known as “Kwese.” The religion has many gods with the main one called “Shabab” who is regarded as the creator of heaven and earth. The first and the last days of any year are regarded as holidays because it is believed that it is when “Shabab” is opening and closing the years. People make sacrifices and prayers that last for 23 out of the 24 hours with the remaining hour devoted to feasting.

The political system here is purely monarchical with all the executive and administrative powers vested on the King. The King is succeeded by his son, and in case he does not have a son, he is at liberty to hand-pick any member inside or outside his clan to be the next king (Ünaldi, 2016). As previously noted, the main economic activity is agriculture with products sold to communities in India and Pakistan for an exchange with currency. The commonly spoken language is called “Hubru” which emanated as a result of a combination of Pakistani and Indian dialects. However, in the past, communities have their native languages which have since regressed due to interaction.

Scientific innovation and technology are part and parcel of every society living in this era. It is through such advancements that people can remain competitive in the age of inventions (Drucker, 2012). The use of modern farming techniques such as animal breeding and cross culturing has taken root in the agricultural process. In crop production, the use of genetically modified seeds has also revolutionized crop production. Although sporting activities have not significantly developed, most emphasis is put on arts and literature. The community has produced renowned painters who make epic drawings that reflect the industrious nature of the "Midians" as they go about their daily activities.
