Text Crisis Lines are capable of addressing issues, including assaults, accidents, emergency medical administration, among others. However, following the increasing rates of assault, violence, and self-assaults, organizations responding to emergencies and other assaults are the most likely to use the Texting-Based Crisis Counseling in handling clients. The victims of such assaults should also be equipped with knowledge of the Texting-Based Crisis Counseling, including the active times and the text lines so that they can seek help a soon as they are yet to be assaulted or have undergone any assault. The other category of people who can use the Texting-Based Crisis Counseling is the witnesses when reporting assault cases they suspect or have seen undergoing.

While other crimes seem to reduce, sexual assault has been on the rise. The Ontario Coalition of Rape Crisis Centres (OCRCC) (2019) quotes Statistics Canada that on average sexual assaults increase by 19% annually in Ontario. However, many of the victims are left out of the available service and help options. Creating the text crisis line is a step forward promoting a wider reach to the sexual assault victims. It should not be forgotten that domestic violence is also a social concern that the government and various organizations in the country are struggling to solve. Women are the most likely victims of domestic assaults. The National Domestic Violence Hotline is one of the most active organizations on domestic violence, reported that nearly 24 individuals fall victims of domestic violence per minute in the US alone (The National Domestic Violence Hotline, 2013). Meanwhile, some of the instances of domestic violence can be solved through Texting-Based Crisis Counseling. The National Domestic Violence Hotline, which is currently one of the most active organizations on domestic violence cases, can integrate Texting-Based Crisis Counseling as one of the strategies for improving its efficiency in the prevention of such violence from happening. Through such services, it is possible for the young and inexperienced couples to solve their issues without having to involve violence when undergoing any form of domestic misunderstanding. Other areas that can be solved through the Texting-Based Crisis Counseling include relieving stress and depression among the youth and adults, child abuse prevention, and public assaults.
