Q1
The process of preparing inmates for the reentry process is quite a tough one considering that the number of inmates is increasing while the budget from the government to contain those inmates is still low. The exiting prisoners must be prepared adequately to face the free world once more without much struggle. Like for the case of Betty Brown, she is being released from prison after spending twenty nine years behind bars. Life is definitely going to be tough for Betty Brown because she is suffering from high blood pressure and the only money she has from the prison is fifty dollars which cannot cater for her medication. The prison administration has not prepared Betty Brown adequately to face the world.
Q2
The inmates are involved in different activities while still in prison in an attempt by the prison administration to reduce recidivism. The prison administration has devised on activities like education, dancing competitions with world stars and beauty lessons. The inmates participate well in these activities and show a high degree of cooperation. The prison administration on the other hand also shows a great interest and contentment while taking part in these activities. I fully agree with these activities because they have helped to reduce recidivism of the inmates across the whole state.

Q3
The inmates are able to learn the effects of the crimes that landed them in prison and change from them. The dancing competitions and beauty lessons help to reunite them with the real world issues and decrease depression. According to the video I watched about the release of Betty Brown, the prison should have first tried to get her a stable source of income to assist her in meeting her medication bills. Releasing her from prison with only 50 dollars and considering that she has high blood pressure will only put her under more trouble of struggling to get the necessary medication.
