North Korea still being communist
For a short time, North Korea had been described as a communist state, during the rule of Kim Il-sung. However, this has since changed when in 2009 Communism was abolished in the constitution. Since His Excellency Kim Jong-Un came to power, all references of Marx , together with his portrait in Pyongyang, were eradicated. North Korea is a quasi fascist state now. Only a particular section of the elite in the society have permission to live in the city, where they enjoy a luxurious lifestyle. The rest of the population dwells in the countryside, living a not very admirable life.
Communism is solely about democracy, equality in all dimensions, classless society, freedom to choose and freedom from any kind of oppression. Kim Il-sung achieved some of the goals of democracy. However, the moment Kim Jong-il and later Kim Jong-un ruled, they were all discarded. Today, majority of the all North Koreans are being oppressed, and they have no liberty to criticize the government’s un-doings or wrong doings. They cannot express their dissatisfaction with the government, neither can they make their own choices of anything. Otherwise, they risk imprisonment or death.
Ways how to stop the event of a nuclear war that would be imitated by North Korea
Beseech Korea sign denuclearization agreements ever reached. The North Korean regime clearly wants nuclear weapons more than any inducement. However, getting the president of the country together with its stakeholders to sign denuclearization agreements will go a very long way. This will save the world from future nuclear disasters. Compelling Pyongyang to sign the agreements will be the best way forward.
China needs to get serious about putting an end to nuclear weapons. In the past, The United States of America has put economic sanctions on North Korea in a bid to make the president put an end to nuclear weapons. However, this has hit a snub because China keeps funding North Korea. China’s economic ties to North Korea is the leverage to put an end to it all. If China joined in and stopped funding North Kore, the fight against nuclear weapons might start yielding results.
