According to a survey carried out at Duke Raleigh Hospital, many of the nurses who were questioned about their work related wellbeing indicated that they were highly stressed. The contributing factors to the above are lack of resilience and burnout. The survey’s implications indicated the need for change in healthcare culture as well as resilience. One of the tools used by the given institution used to ensure resilience among stuff members is education, through a seminar where a variety of activities aimed at strengthening resilience among members were pursued. Besides the above, ensuring a healthy population entails aspects such as vaccination and using the right tools, for example in the assessment of post-intensive care syndrome. Although the importance of the above aspects cannot be stressed enough, a practitioner’s interaction with a patient, especially in wrapping up a session is equally significant. In addition to the above, for patients to receive satisfactory services, culture change is necessary. This could be achieved through Interprofessional  collaboration . Closely related to the above, a culture of patient’s safety could be driven by IHRO principles. Besides the above, it is highly necessary that strategies be developed to ensure a commendable integration of generation Z of the nurses entering the workplace. Due to their preferences, feedback to them should be “short, succinct, and prompt”. Above all, errors are common in healthcare but to mitigate this, trials such as mock surveys should be included in undertakings that ensure patient’s safety. 

Impact of Assigned Article Content on Future Practice 

Aspects such as cultural change and the significance of patient’s safety will impact my future practice in that my awareness about the correlation between these factors and clinical outcomes as well as patients’ satisfaction has been enhanced. I will hence work while conscious of how my interaction with patients is crucial in healthcare as well as how aspects such as stress and burnouts do not ensure their wellbeing. Resilience is also indispensable in healthcare related undertakings. Learning about this will help me to ensure that I equip myself with the right education as well as pursue courses that ensure I become resilient as well as build a culture that favors patient’s safety. Being aware of the fact that errors might be experienced here and there during practice helps to ensure that I take the necessary precautions to reduce their severity.
