The author talks about COVID 19 as a health stressor in 2020. He states that COVID 19 caused fear to all the citizens, including health workers. The author mentions that nurses feared contracting the diseases and spreading it to their families. To reduce anxiety, a nurse educator provided information about prevention measures and PPEs while attending to the patient. He says that it is common for health workers to fear working with infectious disease patients. It took 2-4 weeks for nurses to get back to work at the facility. During the time, they had to obtain nurses from a nursing agency and paid extra. They appreciated the available nurses with lunch and dinner. The management had to make a lot of changes, including the use of PPE. THE PPPE stock was inadequate and also faced with resistance. There was no time to prepare the changes. What helped was the constant communication of the changes required by the CDC and Medicaid.
The paper clearly explains how COVID 19 brought about fear in the health sector. The author describes how nurses left their work fearing contracting the disease and spreading it to their families. It even took two to four weeks for them to get back to work, and this happened after education on the prevention and availability of PPES. COVID 19 is a new disease that people are still trying to understand (Banerjee, 2020) . Due to the lack of a vaccine and treatment, the world is living in fear. Businesses have been closed due to quarantine measures. People fear going to work; patients also fear going to the hospital because they believe there are more risks. Due to demand, there is an inadequate stock of PPEs. The administrators have had to make a lot of changes in their companies to minimize spread (Venkatesh, 2020). The work is well organized and explains the problems have been brought about by COVID 19. The author shows that education and the provision of information reduce fear. From the author's perspective, I was able to understand why there have been inadequate nurses in the hospital. The article clearly explains the cause of fear due to combined 19 and how to deal with anxiety.
