For anyone who has had the opportunity to watch the Cyber War Threat video, there are a number of things which the information relayed in the video portray to the viewer, and which the viewer is supposed to learn. In my case, I learned that the freedom of, and the right to privacy which form part of the cornerstone of the United States constitutions and fundamental motivation, is largely absent. In fact, what the United States government, through its public office holders portrays to its citizens and the rest of the world is just but a mere façade. The underlying reason in this context is that the freedom and the right to privacy as established in the United States Constitution for the enjoyment of the student is non-existent.
The video equally reveals potential threats to the nation’s national security, at least in the foreseeable future. There are various reasons in this regard. Foremost, there is a possibility of the confidential information relating to the affairs of the United States government falling into the wrong hands. Considering the magnitude of the interests the United States government has across the globe, including within hostile countries such as those in the Arabian and South East Asian countries, the possibility of destructive security ramifications is high.

That an underground group calling itself ‘shadow Brokers’ is capable of infiltrating the largely fortified United States information security infrastructure, creates an avenue and motivation for hostile countries with advanced technologies such as Russia and North Korea to follow suit. It is important to note that the driving factor behind the security breach by ‘’Shadow Brokers’’ could have been the desire to make a recognition statement. In the hands of hostile enemies such as those already mentioned, there is a high possibility that the motive can be politically inclined, and the target can be the government’s national security infrastructure. The effects of such a move could devastate the United States economy and security in a number of intertwined ways.
