Aldo Leopold and Paul Kingsnorth both suggest ways of dealing with the current global issue regarding the use of land. In his writing, ‘Land Ethics,' Aldo Leopold maintains that people should approach in an ethical way rather than as property. Today the relationship between people and land in purely economic. He suggest that people should value land by approaching it ethical and taking care of it. Land, according to Leopold is a long-lasting, living ecosystem, which not only provides our various needs but also determines the survival of every living thing on earth. In order to have a moral relationship with land, people must love, admire and respect land.

Paul Kingsnorth in his article, ‘Dark Ecology,' discusses Kaczynski's ideologies regarding the modern world’s technological nature. According to Theodore Kaczynski, the world is headed towards an inevitable disaster due to technology. The only way to evade this disaster is to eliminate the technological society and get people to adopt the simple ways of coexistence. Embracing such ideas might require one to change all aspects of their life. Kingsnorth in his article agrees that technology affects our human nature and what it means to be human. Kingsnorth, however, leaves readers to think for themselves, to question themselves about what they think is better and how they can escape technology if they choose to do so.

I agree with Aldo Leopold’s ideology on environment and the use of land. The mentally that land is a property which is to be used conveniently and for economic purposes will ultimately ruin the world. People should value land and protect it from dying. Kingsnorth, on the other hand, seems to support the idea that technology is ruining the world. While it is true that technology may affect the human nature and suppress the ability of people to do certain things for themselves, technology also comes with a lot of benefits to humanity.
