Although a community of believers in extraterrestrial visitation continues to be pushed in the media and pentagon, society is reducing its concern on the issue. Many Americas believe the stories in UFO are scientifically invested and that politicians are using the unorthodox narratives to rise in power. Stories on UFOs are diminishing and becoming historical studies as the society focus on an essential issue like the economy. There is thus a possibility that in the next two to three years, UFO testimonials like those of Bob Lazar, will reduce credibility. Americans are no longer trying to find facts on government activities at Area 51, making it challenging for the scientific experts and elected officials to convince the public of the hidden governmental operations.
Today the society is changing their mythic reality on the existence of micro-organisms like UFOs. Instead, people are focusing on getting facts and truth on essential matters of economy and technology. The distinction between micro and macro has made it possible for sociologists to come up with better methods of analyzing events with time and place ( Collins, 1981, p. 987). Today, society is shifting their focus on myths of UFOs and terrestrial beings and are currently focusing on facts and reality. The testimonies like that of Bob Lazar might no longer attract the society, and in the next two to three years, they might lose credibility. According to Hochschild, focusing on micro-events like UFO is tedious and unrewarding to society (2008, p. 48 ). The society is no longer looking for more information on these micro-organisms. Despite the testimonies given by Bob Lazar on government activities in Area 51, people are no longer concerned with finding the truth. The society is currently holding onto the sociological fact that some aspects of life should not be explained. In this case, the government does not have to explain every operation carried out in Area 51 to the citizens.

Back in the 1990s, a large percentage of Americans reported having heard of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), with more than 55% believing UFOs are real (Jacobsen, 2011, p.16). The first wave of UFO sighting emerged during the cold war between the United States and the Soviet Union. In the late 1980s and 1990s, many people arranged for visits in Nevada to see UFO and Aliens in Area 51, which is highly secured. Nowadays, people are no longer concerned with finding facts on UFOs. The public is no longer emotionally attached to the issue of Area 51 and UFOs since almost insignificant communication is heard on the topic. According to Collins , positive emotional attachments are achieved where there is social communication that guides social behavior. In the case of Bob Lazar's testimonies, society rarely talks about the issue (1981, 991). There is a high possibility that the nation has adverse reactions to these unorthodox narratives . The science institutions will have to come up with a causal explanation of the UFOs and link them to what is happening in society. The institutions are trying to control the emotional reaction of people by linking operations of Area 51 to the physical force like war weapons ( Jacobsen, 2011,18). Still, there is a limited possibility that the testimonies will win the emotional confidence of Americans.
The increasing critiques and stereotypes that science is fiction, and scientists are trying to control the universe is contributing to decreasing credibility on UFO testimonies. According to Hochschild, society holds different feelings on science and technology, which affects their reactions (2008, 47). Some Americans view science as fiction and unreal, making it challenging to convince of hidden government projects in Area 51. Also, society stereotypes scientific experiments as costly, thus accepting to continue with the facts finding will cost the country economically. Today, Americans are focusing on improving the economy; continuous research on Area 51 does not add anything to the economy; thus should be ignored. The science institutions will have to change the labels that science is fiction to convince the public that there are indeed hidden projects and weapon testing of UFOs at Area 51 ( Jacobsen, 2011,22). Based on the way Americans are forcing on becoming a global leader in the economy, it will be impossible to win emotional support on UFO testimonies unless it will add to economic growth.
Generally, in the next 2 to 3 years, there is a likelihood that UFO testimonials like those of Bob Lazar, will decrease credibility with the public and by a growing number of scientific experts and elected officials. The stories are now becoming history as America focuses on current affairs like the economy and healthcare.
