Health is recognized or defined as the state of physical, mental, and social well-being and not the absence of disease. Good and bad health is what defines whether a person has an illness or not. Definitions of health are universal and have the same meaning. For example, newborns are children who have recently been born. According to Prat-Matifoll et al. (2017), p reterm newborns or preemies are born before 37 weeks of the gestation period. On the other hand, full-term babies are born in their 40 weeks of gestation while postterm babies are born after 42 weeks and risk aspiration from the meconium and and malnutrition. All newborns have fontanels, soft spots on the skull, since their bodies are not fully developed.
The other definition of a well older adult that most countries have accepted is an individual above the age of 65 years. Healthy older adults should have instrinsic capacities whre they should be able to perform activities ( What is healthy ageing?) . Positive health in older adults is defined as the absence of illness and functional capacity of cognitive and active engagement with life. On the contrary, unhealthy ageing is whereby individuals are sick and lack the ability to perform normal abilities and interact with the social envrinment. According to Svalastog, Donev, Kristoffersen, and Gajović, 2017), a person in a wheelchair is defined as one who is unable to walk either due to injury or illness. In the past, a person in a wheelchair was defined as a disabled individual. As years progress, definitions are become more refined to prevent any discrimination or insulting language. Physical impairment, a term currently used for people in wheelchairs, defines a specific problem in a person;s body. The World Health Organization defineds it as loss of phsyciological function or structure. Unlike the term “disabled,” impairment does not defined them as being restricted since people in wheelchairs can carry out other functions.
