Re: HOW TO IMPROVE DEPENDABILITY
From the text, it is apparent that the officials seem to be falling off the dependability scale. Dependability is one trait which is critical for a leader or any individual in a managerial position. In this case, the officers have plateaued on their role to prevent deaths caused by the outbreaks of Legionnaires' disease at a veteran’s home. They ought to have anticipated this kind of a mess and act first to prevent deaths. This could have saved a number of peoples' lives. What is thus apparent is that these officers have failed in taking their responsibility and thus depending upon them to protect and save lives in such situations are increasingly becoming slim. The officials thus should strive to improve their dependability. First, they should enhance the trust of people by acting first on similar issues and prevent death which occurs as result of these instances. This will enhance trust between them and the populace and their dependability will score high on the rating scale. Also, they have to ensure that they have the peoples’ feelings at heart. This will make them not only sympathize with them but also to empathize with them. This will make them ensure that they try to work faster to lessen the misery of the people. This makes them dependable.
Yours faithfully
