How could you use Excel descriptive statistics for data analysis research? Write about your experience running descriptive statistics. Use the results in the Session Window to support your response. Then add to your discussion with the information you learn writing up your analysis.

Descriptive analysis from excel contains various summaries that portray different characteristics of the dataset. Therefore, I would use the descriptive statistics to analyze the data obtained from data collection and find out general characteristics of the data. Running descriptive statistics on excel is relatively easy once you have the data analysis tool pack installed. The descriptive statistics option gives out detailed summaries of the various variables which makes it easy to visualize the variable data and have a general idea about them.

From the results, we can be able to see various statistics about the data provided for the variables: Age, Cringe, Uneasy, Afraid, Worried and Understand. What are your plans for learning more about Excel and how will the information you learned about this software be of benefit in your future analysis of research data? Copy and paste your graph(s) in a Word document and attach to your discussion response.

I plan to utilize excel videos on YouTube and take online excel courses to learn more about excel. Excel has a lot more to offer and proficiency in excel will make data analysis of my research data much easier and enable me to make correct conclusion from the hypotheses I make for the research data. Moreover, deeper understanding of excel will make research data analysis much easier as it will involve doing procedures that I have done before through extensive practice.
