Technology has transformed how businesses interact with their potential customers. The consumers are spending more time on the internet through gadgets like smartphones and personal computers. It is upon companies to get where the target customers are and showcase products and attract the traffic ( Todor, 2016 ). An apparel company must position itself through digital marketing strategies to reach young adults, including creating a website, email marketing, SEO, affiliate marketing, blogging, and social media marketing.

Web Design 

In the times of Covid-19, every company needs to have a presence online, especially apparels company. People are now not walking into the shops; instead, they get online to view clothes and make purchases from the websites and the products delivered at their doorsteps. The company needs to design a fully functional website with eCommerce payment management systems. However, the company will need to have aggressive marketing for the website and bear the related costs like hosting and programmers. Websites are vital since they give the company an identity, and they are cheaper sales alternatives.

Email Marketing 

Email marketing constitutes keeping an email database of the customers and communicating about the products through emails. One advantage of using emails is that it is much cheaper, it is organic, and it is an ideal way to reach a massive number of customers by a click of a button. One of the significant weaknesses of emails is that it may take time to accumulate emails. Customers are now associating email marketing with spam with more and more emails finding themselves unread in the spam box.

SEO 

Search Engine Optimization uses search engines like Google and Bing to position a company on the internet so that the potential customers searching for a product can easily find the company and its products. SEO is the practice of increasing traffic to the company website. Therefore, the apparel company needs to put lots of effort into ranking the company website to be highly ranked by Google and be easily found on the internet. The more visible the company, the higher the traffic, and the higher the purchases.

Affiliate marketing 

Affiliate is where the persons or corporates who love the apparels and believe in the company can share the products and information to grow the market on an agreed commission. Clothing can correctly work through referrals, with friends and families sharing where they buy their clothes in exchange for a small commission. The advantage of this is that it can go viral, mostly when the company sells high-quality clothing ( Cole, DeNardin, & Clow, 2017 ). However, when the product quality is not recommendable, it sells the company negatively.

Blog 

A blog is a perfect way to sell apparel online; they are new ways to show and share new clothing lines and latest fashion designs. The blog can be used to demonstrate the passion, share fashion show contests, and days. The blog can also be a useful tool in inviting potential clients to give their inputs regarding what they like and what they do not like. Blogs are also ideal ways for the company to optimize its search engine strategy. The blog is also essential for sharing vital information and engage with customers. Blogs are suitable for building and maintaining trust.

Social media marketing 

Today every business worth its salt has a presence on social media. There are numerous social media platforms; every company gets to choose the most suitable option ( Todor, 2016 ). For example, for an apparel company, Instagram would be an ideal way to engage the customers by showing the trendy products, and Facebook can be suitable for getting feedback and providing customer services.
