Clinical care that is provided to patients should be based on the best available evidence. Clinicians should be driven by evidence and knowledge that has been derived from robust and up to date scholarly sources. Indeed, translating research evidence to clinical practice is essential for the efficient, transparent, and safe provision of healthcare and, most importantly, meeting and surpassing the expectations of patients, their loved ones, and the society at large (Curtis, 2016) . Despite its importance, translating research into information that can be applied in clinical practice can be challenging. However, spirited efforts can ensure improved patient care and efficient mechanisms of disseminating evidence-based research to all stakeholders in healthcare. An in-depth analysis of some of the ways of disseminating evidence-based research and its importance is provided in this paper.

Disseminating evidence in nursing is the process whereby evidence is divided form research is spread to nurses as well as other professionals and also the members of the public. Doing so is extremely important in the profession since nurses can spread the information they have to their counterparts when they have current information. Consequently, this will ensure that the most effective and the highest quality care are provided to patients.

Goals of Disseminating Evidence in Nursing

Evidence must be high quality and meticulously evaluated for it to be active and for it to achieve its goals (Houser, 2016) . Moreover, the evidence needs to have been used in research studies and proven by renowned professionals in the nursing fraternity. Evidence-based research can be communicated through various means. They include presentations, press releases, conferences, social media, brochures, and journals. Some of the goals of disseminating advice in practice are explained below:

The first goals of disseminating knowledge are increasing the scope of expertise in the profession. Secondly, it ensures the trade is updated with current information and the most effective practices and evidence (Curtis, 2016). Lastly, the dissemination of research-based evidence ascertains that decisions in nursing are made based on evidence that optimizes cost-effectiveness and quality care.

In conclusion, translating the best research evidence can lead to a more sustainable and transparent healthcare service. This will eventually lead to improved care to patients and the transfer of knowledge to other stakeholders in the healthcare sector for effective implementation.
