The population of Arizona is increasingly growing and becoming more diverse and faces a difficult task of ensuring that every person in the state has access to affordable health care. Currently, the state stands at, to every five people there is one person lacks health insurance coverage. The discussion about accessibility, affordability, and accountability has been up and heating regarding steps that should be taken towards ensuring that everyone in the State gets affordable health care. Choosing the issue was easy for me since I have witnessed people suffering due to a lack of affordable health care or a lack of one.
The Town Hall had convened to address some of the issues regarding affordable health care among populations in Arizona. Among the issues that were addressed were the accountability and funding for health care in Arizona ( Sen, & DeLeire, 2018) . Some recommendations were made regarding roles of individuals in public entities, recruiting and retaining the healthcare professionals and physicians. The quality of care in the state was also vital and the behavioral healthcare which are essential in the healthcare system ( Frean, Gruber & Sommers, 2017) . Arizona’s health care system is facing a crisis and Arizonans should make sure that they are taking immediate action in improving the system to ensure that everyone in the state is accessing basic care of health care services. Looking at the current system, it has majored more on employer-based insurance coverage, which can never achieve the end goal of the universal coverage ( Blumenthal, & Collins, 2014) . Everyone in Arizona, local government, healthcare providers and insurers have a great task in ensuring that there is an improvement in the healthcare system.

George was interviewed to get whether the current system is working and not only working but ensuring that it works well.
Do you think the current health care system covers everyone in Arizona?
The current healthcare coverage for Arizona State is lacking; it covers the people who have a job. To me, the system does not work well and should be revised to include an alternative insurance coverage plan that offers a basic coverage that includes described benefits, funded by very many diverse and integrated funding sources. The insurance should be based largely on someone’s ability to pay and should be available to all. Also, it should not be a replacement of our current system which is employer-based coverage but an alternative that aims at covering the universal coverage.
Being a member of the employee-based healthcare service have you been able to find the quality of care that is expected?
I have been able to get the quality of care that I am a member of, but I think that it should be expanded. I feel that there should be greater outreach so that they can increase enrollment in the current program, for instance, the ‘kids care.' If they can do away with the ‘gag rule' in our school's other professionals would be able to enroll their children in the schools.
What activities have you achieved in taking part of in the healthcare system?
Well, I have been able to assist some of the colleagues and a few friends in educating them on the importance of taking part in affordable care. Some people are pessimistic about it since they have not been able to get the quality of care that they are looking for in the system. Almost everyone I converse with regarding the problem thinks that something should be done better. Overall am a member of the affordable care and have managed using and participating in survey to improve the system through giving my opinion regarding what my issues are and that of the community I live in.
Why does the issue of healthcare matter to you personally?
The issue of healthcare matters to me since me and my family require affordable healthcare. Looking at the greater issue, the community at large also requires affordable health care. I will not feel okay that my friend at a local supermarket is suffering due to a lack of affordable health care yet we are all healthcare taxpayers. There should be an implementation of the efficient use of the healthcare information technology that includes the use of electronic records. The population is increasing here in Arizona and as the population grows so do the need for healthcare services. The healthcare institutions should have many professionals that can meet the needs of the populations.
What do you see as the end goal to the improvement of the health care system here in Arizona?
If everyone can join together and ensure that we are all in a singular path to improving the Affordable care system, then I am certain that it can be done. People should ensure that they are accounting for their health and the programs they are involved in. There should be a development of systems that measure healthcare outcomes which will inform the Arizonans better thus improving the quality of care that they are receiving and will continue to receive. Best practices should be adopted which will be achieved through the use of evidence-based medicine.
