We are a group of students who are concerned with the issue of increasing domestic violence affecting women in the California State. We are wiring to you as the senator of California State to share with you our recommendation on the solution to the issue of women battering in California. As the senator of the state, we believe you have the right channel that can be used to get a lasting solution to the issue.
Violence against women is the most common form of assault in America. This issue is considered a major public health concern due to the costs and health issues associated with it. Women are at increased chances of developing mental health issues as a result of domestic violence. The health costs are also increasing due to the treatment of injuries that are incurred by women from domestic violence. The California Women’s Law recognizes domestic violence against women as an impediment to the women in the society. The House overwhelmingly approved the bill on the reauthorization of Violence Against Women Act, a program that meant to prevent the abuse against women. However, it faced a staunch opposition from the National Rifle Association who argued that the provision in the bill barring partners convicted of abuse from owning firearms went too far. Despite this bill being approved, the battering of women has continued to exist.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
The solution to this problem is to introduce a society educational program where couples and partners are taught on the mechanisms to help them manage their relationship. Offering lessons on how to keep a healthy relationship and manage conflicts can help reduce the cases of women battering. This program is better as it provides a lesson rather than imposing a legal battle on the abusers.
As the senator, you are in a position to come up with a bill in the Senate that will lead to the provision of funds to support such programs in the community. This will benefit the members of the society as a whole and will leave your name as a legacy in California State. Indeed, this is a matter that requires an urgent solution for the better of our society.
