Various health care options are available for planning one's health care in case of incapacitation. Durable Power of attorney is my health care preference for future incapacitation. It is an authorized document that permits me to designate someone else to be responsible for making decisions about finances, health care, and private sectors on my behalf in instances where I cannot. The designated person is the agent, and this document gives that person instructions regarding the principal's wishes.
Several reasons why I have chosen the Durable Power of Attorney as an option of my health care have been considered. This paper is essential as it gives the right to outline the principal's wishes about medication. It ensures that the principal's specified health care wishes are adhered to, even though one is in a mental or physical condition, limiting you to speak to the health specialist. It also authorizes the agent to sign checks and contracts, enter into transactions involving your real estate, and file your tax returns. Besides, it ensures that financial affairs are appropriately managed as per your desires.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
Since the agent is legalized to make vital decisions on my behalf ( Eyal, Faust & Pasternak, 2018 ), a trustable person will be required. Hence, I will prepare my agent by considering essential attributes such as trustworthiness in financial affairs and other legal matters, and how responsible the agent manages financial affairs. Further, I will consider cost since some agents such as accountants or lawyers require service fees, whereas family members commonly perform a cost-free service. Hence, it will be crucial to discuss these matters and make them understand my wishes before agreeing to be my agent.
In conclusion, the Durable Power of Attorney is my health care option, which will ensure my medication wishes are adhered to if I am incapacitated. Moreover, the agent will also manage financial affairs, as well. Therefore, I will prepare adequately to ensure a trustable person by adequately evaluating the relevant characteristics of the critical areas such as financial management.
