Christianity and Islam have for a long time been the largest and most renowned religions in the world and studies attest that they share many similarities in terms of their beliefs just as there are differences. Based on recent reviews, it is possible to conclude that even though both of these religions co-exist in various parts of the globe, they do so within their territories where they specifically dominate (Leskova, Muslimova, & Zyazin, 2018). It is indisputable that these two religions share almost a similar history of establishment as well as the concepts of faith. Despite this similarity, the differences between these two religions have been a little too conspicuous resulting in a scenario of mutual distrust between the Muslims and Christians.

Muslims and Christians can be considered to have closely related ties based on the fact that they originally branched off from Abraham together with other patriarchs that have been mentioned in the various religious books such as the Hebrew Scriptures. Since these texts serve as the spiritual anchor of the believers to their spiritual ancestors, they bring forth a massive common ground shared by the two religions based on the Abrahamic faith. However, disputes between the two religions arise upon the introduction of the belief in trinity among Christians (Smith, 2015). This standpoint differed from that of the Muslim faith that strictly believed in monotheism, a belief in only one God that is Allah. It is for this reason, among others that have remained responsible for the mass violence and crimes across humanity Currently, there is a schism between Islam and Christianity. This situation is based on majorly the differences they both share despite their similarities in art, religious origin, and theological standpoint, among others.

A theological assessment between Christianity and Islam brings forth their similarity in terms of missionary setup as well as the establishment of friendship grounds. This particular point of view provides an important starting point for peaceful coexistence between Muslims and Christians within their respective neighborhoods, promoting sincerity, love, and friendship by exploring the commonality of the individuals. Although there is a mutual benefit of the theological understanding within the two religions, Christians' belief in the New Testament and Jesus is their means to redemption (Leskova, Muslimova, & Zyazin, 2018). However, within the Muslim set up, the only road to recovery is by going back to the point where you initially made a mistake in the first place and starting again according to "The Great Divorce."

Most religions have employed art symbols since time immemorial. Based on the findings of a research conducted recently, art symbols was part and parcel of the Muslim and Christian religions. In support of this statement, the religions employed various art symbols to provide a deeper meaning and understanding of the faith in general. It is also evident that Christian symbolic meanings were mastered by Muslim artists as well and in other instances, there was the borrowing of the art symbols such as Christians' Christ entry to Jerusalem art symbol was borrowed to illustrate Shahnameh (Smith, 2015). However, the difference between the art symbols of these religions is based on the fact that according to the Muslims, art has never been considered for aesthetic purposes but a contrast to ingratitude and pride as well as an expression of perfection. On the other hand, according to Christians, art symbols were merely employed to serve as an image of thought by the hierarchical principles of elements.

In conclusion, based on the evidence provided, it is possible that despite the level of the conspicuousness of the difference between the two religions, they both share a strong bond of commonality. This commonality in origin can be regarded as a stimulus for the peaceful co-existence between the Christian and Muslim members in the contemporary world. It is similarly essential to believe in the vision of the brotherhood of Islam and Christianity to overcome the aggressive tendencies that grow stronger with the increase in day to day crisis.
