It is better to make electronic claims as compared to paper claims. Through electronic billing services, the organization will enjoy benefits that include faster reimbursement of claims since the time taken during processing reduces. Typically, paper works are twice as hard to process as opposed to electronic work. Moreover, it becomes tedious for a facility working on a large number of patients to manage cash flows. The immense work employed can result in a delayed pay-off of expenses. The increased productivity and efficiency of the workflow because of electronic services outweighs the cost of any system as claims are effectively transmitted to the clearinghouse by a simple touch of a button. Additionally, electronic claims ensure that claims are timely and accurately delivered, alongside facilitating immediate confirmation of the claims that have been received while providing a status check of the ongoing process.

With paperwork, billing services become costly. Paperwork billing subject a facility to additional expenses such as printing, postage, envelopes and staff payment. Electronic billing services make use of an automated service, which implies that there will be no need to print out a document. Likewise, there will also be no need for paying for the delivery of a claim via courier services and transportation companies. Therefore, costs like fueling and labor, which are closely associated with paperwork filling, are averted. Furthermore, follow-ups in paperwork are time-consuming nature and can result in bulks, which could cause dissatisfaction of patients following delays. The facility together with its staff faces a hard time typically convincing potential customers to contact them on some specific billing needs on the day-to-day activities. Therefore, the advent of technology has made work easier alongside bringing about creative ways and procedures that generally improves the quality of care. Conclusively, the advantages of electronic billing outweigh those of paper billing.
