Liechtenstein is a country that ranks second last in size in Europe with a population of 38,000 people in an area of 62 square miles. The countries per capita GDF however, is second in the world at $ 165,028. The country imports most of its energy as it only produces 69m kwh which is only used by 17% of the country. In the total amount of energy produced in Liechtenstein 61 % is from renewable sources (Economy | Embassy of the Principality of Liechtenstein in Washington, D.C, n.d.). As the minister of Energy I think that the country can fully sustain itself in energy if it invests more in the production of more energy.

Liechtenstein is a country that is highly known for its technology. The installation of solar energy can be the best source of energy for entry. The country can utilize twin cell 415 W solar panels. This type of installation requires less space, a higher level of power, and the use of fewer solar panels. Since the country has a smaller population, the twin cell 415W solar panels can function best and be installed in as many roofs in the city and in other regions. These solar energy panels can survive in any type of climatic condition.

The rise in energy production can be of great benefit especially for the company’s reduction in the cost of importing energy. Moreover, the tourism sector can also grow especially since the country has very low rates of tourism sector growth. The initial cost of installing solar panels could be high but it would be beneficial in the long run as the country would be entirely dependent on its production. As the Minister for energy, I believe that focusing on solar panel installation using the twin cell 415W solar panels will be of great benefit to our country.
