Equal Right Amendments (ERA) gives women the right over their bodies consequently allowing them to make decisions on how many children they want to have and when. This provides them with power on family planning decisions. In the second video, Gloria gives a revelation on the struggles women face when procuring illegal abortions (MAKERS, 2014) . These challenges affect most women universally, and it takes strong individuals to rise to the occasion and fight against social injustices hence motivating new generations to pick up from where they left and continue with the fight.

Women movements were not taken seriously in the past, and it even took a bit of time for them to warrant opposition. As portrayed in the second video, they were often ridiculed. It further demonstrates the eagerness of the public to listen to testimonials injustices facing them (MAKERS, 2014) . Sharing this information influences people to act on the matter presented. Women movements were at the forefront to seek support on the ERA, which confirms the positive relationship between social movements and policy positions (Soule, 2004) . Passing the ERA promotes equal employment opportunity for all, hence eradicating gender bias.

In the third video, it expresses the impartiality of both genders without favor. Women are considered similar to their male counterparts and have to persevere similar conditions in service (Christina, 2012) . An example is that women can be sent to war rather than being given lighter duties in combat. This allows women to maximize their full potential towards growth and advancement and actively participate in the nation’s life (Foss, 1979) . ERA permits the inclusion of both genders in civil, human and diplomatic rights hence providing a platform for the establishment of protective laws where one can seek legal action if discriminated. Outlawing of laws that discriminate against gender is effected once the ERA is enacted.

Conclusion

The struggle for equal rights for both men and women has been a long fight with women being at the front line to ensure they have equal rights to men. Sexual discrimination frustrates the development of women in society. The issues to do with equal rights amendments are ambiguous. Opinions vary whether women face discrimination and will the equal rights amendment annul protective labor laws for women. As a result of feminist activities, people are in recent days being treated equally on the virtual of being human and not male or female. People don’t have to be judged according to gender roles stereotypes rather their competency.
