Establishment of Population Health Initiative

I am a population health major at the Baptist College of Health Sciences. Currently, I am pursuing my senior project at the college. The project intends to examine and promote active community service to members of Shelby, DeSoto, and Crittenden counties. Notably, the primary objective of the final course work project focuses on inspiring sufficient healthcare services to the members of Shelby, DeSoto, and Crittenden counties. Additionally, as a healthcare major at the Baptist College of health sciences, I aspire to extend healthcare services to the uninsured, underserved, and vulnerable county members. Subsequently, I would like to venture into the practical aspects of my academic lessons at the college. 

Entirely, MidSouth lacks effective community outreach services. Children and people of Shelby, DeSoto, and Crittenden counties require sufficient recreational facilities and services. For instance, children should have adequate playing grounds for gaming activities. Additionally, members of the counties lack sufficient access to health information that relates to community events and fairs. Consequently, I intend to inform your organization concerning the existing gaps in population health at the Shelby, DeSoto, and Crittenden counties. 

I have researched and visited the PowerUp organization to ascertain the achievement of their projects in their area of coverage. PowerUp provides various community outreach services to multiple families and children in their field of coverage. The organization offers captivating sporting activities, food options, and various community events. Currently, PowerUp supports approximately 35 000 children and families. Moreover, the population health organization (PowerUp) has an active partnership with about three district schools to offer physical exercises to families during winter seasons. PowerUp organization provides cooking programs to the community members in collaboration with hospital dietarians and local cooking schools. 

Furthermore, the PowerUp organization offers child care and food training services on various strategies to positively promote vegetables and fruits among the community members. The organization provides approximately four weeks of classroom lessons to children, families, and teachers. The program entails elementary training and assembling of vegetables and fruits to generate excitement among the participants. The program requires students to track vegetables and fruits daily. The program encompasses the participation of parents, teachers, and food service workers in the schools. Regarding the positive outcomes of the PowerUp programs to the community members, I propose that your organization should consider replicating the project in Shelby, DeSoto, and Crittenden counties to promote better population health services. 

I am grateful to inform you that your exceptional management skills would assist the replication of “PowerUp for children” in the MidSouth greatly. I recommend that you assume the management position for the newly proposed program in Shelby, DeSoto, and Crittenden counties. Effective commencement, maintenance, and achievement of the proposed plan will require a considerable number of individuals at different capacities. The project will require solicitation of an additional $500,000 to cater for procuring equipment and compensation of employees.
