The establishment of the ethical theories and principles was to assist members of the society in making moral and proper decisions. Besides, their existences were to provide solutions to individuals found with ethical dilemmas situations. In resolving the ethical circumstances facing the death of Baby K, it would be appropriate to note that ethical theories such as virtue ethics, deontology, and utilitarianism are applicable in the analysis of the ethical consideration. Virtue ethics primarily focuses on the individual moral character and plays a crucial role in urging members of a society to embrace moral virtues, as such assist in making ethical decisions ( Birsch, 2013) . On the other hand, deontology set out a list of ethical standards or moral rules that the members of a given community are supposed to obey without paying regard to the outcome of the action. On the contrary, utilitarianism implores its adherents to strictly choice actions that their consequences would lead to joy or happiness ( Birsch, 2013)

Notably, an individual life is precious, and the three mentioned ethical theories advocates for behaviors that promote morality and happiness to an individual. In this regard, it is without a doubt that they condemn decisions that do not uphold life. The child mother was within the ethical mirror to insist that the hospital provide her ailing baby with aggressive treatment. In doing so, she was promoting life and happiness to the society, thereby abiding by the mentioned ethical theories. On the same note, the court decision to rule that the hospital should provide care was in line the outlined ethical theories. On the contrary, both the hospital and the physicians were morally wrong to refuse to provide the care. Even if they were aware that the baby would eventually die, the ethical theories implore them to at least try all they can in saving a life; moreover, their role is primarily to save a life ( Birsch, 2013) . If the child had died in spite of doctors' efforts, then they would have remained blames.
