Our Covenant Health Centre's mission is to ensure that area residents and those from the surrounding neighborhoods receive quality care and services. Therefore, as a community-based health facility, its practices are influenced by the logistics and ethical factors. According to Jennings et al. (2003), community-based practice is influenced by the logistic factors; thus, its goals and objectives are founded on the needs of the community. Therefore, from a logistics perspective, Our Covenant Health Centre must implement new policies and practices, which ensures that the facility meets the needs of its patients. Therefore, the board and administration should ensure that the staff is equipped to meet the clinic's current and future services.
The leadership at Our Covenant Health Centre should ensure that its staff can provide services, care, and support to all members of the community irrespective of their demographic. According to Herrin et al. (2015), community-based organizations are designed to develop specific programs and services that will benefit members of the community. Therefore, it is fair for the board and administration at Our Covenant Health Centre to change the working status of the social worker and lay health workers from full-time to half-time, and use the subsequent salaries to hire additional staff. The additional staff will ensure that the facility fulfills its mission statement by having a part-time bilingual social worker and Spanish-English interpreter who will assist the organization in addressing the medical needs of the Spanish population.
Delegate your assignment to our experts and they will do the rest.
The new demand for service should be used as the clinic's approach to promoting inclusivity to meet patient demand. This way, the clinic will be expressing its concern for the public while ensuring that its services are aligned with the patient's needs. Leppin et al. (2018) affirm that community-based organizations should be well-positioned to deliver services that fulfill the client’s needs since they understand the local communities. Therefore, Our Covenant Health Center should strive to connect to the different demographics it serves to ensure that it can fulfill its mission.
