The project implemented several construction measures such as early use of the geographical position system (GPS), which ensured that the excavation machinery minimizes over-digging to reduce the amount of waste created. The excavated material was also used for landscaping, and the excess was sold elsewhere to benefit the project. Lastly, the construction of a bridge was made over the new channel, which eased the transportation of other materials and eased congestion. Notably, the bridge eased the transportation of excavated materials that were used for landscaping.

Human-centered ethical theories suggest that humans have a higher intrinsic value as compared to nature. As a result, they can destroy species, cut down trees or damage the ecosystem. In essence, they believe their values are much greater and destroying the environment is justified. On the other hand, nature-centered theory belief that nature has a higher intrinsic value as compared to human beings. Thus, human being's activities must be based on improving the value of these resources. In this case, the solutions adopt this approach as it entails human activities that are designed to improve the value of the Jubilee River.
