Stakeholder theory is perceived in many perspectives, but they all agree on the interaction of the stakeholders in ensuring the achievement of the organization. It is the study of how corporation and interaction between stakeholders ought to be. The interaction and decisions of the managers should not overlook any other stakeholder as it can result to the downfall of the organization and it is also unethical (Mayer) . Stakeholder theory drive requirements to spend money on cybersecurity products & services. This is because the decision to make purchases must be consented by the senior management (owners) incorporation with the line managers who identify the most suitable supplier for the products. The amount the company is willing to spend will determine the quality of products and services to be acquired.

Social contract theory describes the society and the correlation between rules and laws, and their importance in society (McCartney & Parent, 2015) . This plays a role in the purchase of cybersecurity products and services because they affect the wellbeing of the community. If the products and services compromise the safety of the people, the social contract theory will ensure rules and laws are in place to be adhered to.

IT Security managers and staff may encounter ethical issues such as the safety of the vulnerable groups. Children and society are at risk of cyber-crime, and thus the purchase of products and services should put into consideration. The cost is another ethical issue, this is because it might be cheap to acquire the products but exposes the users and the society at risk. The efficiency of the product and services is another ethical issue to be considered, the safety of the products to the users, as well as the cost to be incurred by the owners to acquire it (Solm & Niekerk, 2013) . All individuals to be affected or use the products and services should be involved in decision making.
