Nursing can be both physically and mentally exhausting to nurses. Moral resilience, therefore, is very vital in nursing since it may help nurses, especially in difficult situations. Cultivating moral resilience is also important. I would cultivate moral resilience within myself, my colleagues and the organization I work in different ways such as defining my code of ethics, working on my self-awareness, developing self-regulation, engaging with my colleagues, locating moral resilient mentors or even finding meaning in the midst of despair (Stutzer & Bylone, 2018).

As I continue my journey in the socialization of becoming a nurse, I would focus on working on my self-awareness and developing self- regulation. Working on my self-awareness will enable me to control my personal moral; therefore, I would look at situations at a broad perspective. Developing self-regulation will enable me to be aware and respond to the signals of the body, thoughts, and emotional patterns hence restoring balance when faced with ethical challenges.

The contributions I intend to create to make meaningful and substantial changes in my career is to develop ethics education and even ensure organizational support (Stutzer & Bylone, 2018). Providing ethical education will be beneficial in the cultivation of moral resilience among my colleagues and the organization I work. I would create an ethical education program where the nurses will be trained to incorporate mindfulness, communication, ethical competence, and resilience training that would help them face and manage their ethical challenges. In addition, creating an organizational support group where the organization will support nurses in facing ethical challenges is relevant. This will ensure that moral distress among nurses is made aware, and therefore, it will be addressed within the system and the organization.

In conclusion, moral resilience is vital in nursing since it helps nurses explore factors that would assist them in performing their duties that show their character, intentions, and integrity.
