Describe the code of ethics for your chosen field.  Advantages/Strengths of the code of ethics  Disadvantages/weaknesses of the code of ethics  How does the code help resolve ethical disagreements productively?
Respect for others. The code of ethics calls for individuals to extend kindness and understanding when interacting with others. The code of ethics prohibits any harassment or victimization leveled against others. It calls for paramount respect for the respect of the personal space, privacy, or opinion of others.  It encourages a peaceful coexistence between coworkers when conducting their responsibilities in the workplace  It is, at times, difficult to define what type of actions are considered disrespectful.  In case of disagreements, the code of ethics is used to establish the fact surrounding the ethical dilemma. Analyzing the facts while investigating the cause of the argument helps guard against the dangers of misinformation or cognitive biases. The code of ethics also considers the use of normative ethical theories to help determine a practicable course of action when handling disagreements.
Promotes desirable behavior and upholds the moral standards of the organization by preventing acts of violence, harassment, dismissiveness, or excessive rudeness.  It is difficult for a complainant to prove that he or she has been subjected to disrespectful incidences.
The repercussions of going against the code of ethics are t times great and costly thus deterring individuals from engaging in disrespectful acts  The punitive measures or the degree of damages one might receive for suffering any acts of disrespect vary with circumstances and are thus not clearly defined.

Elements of the workplace code of ethics tend to shape the behavior of individuals towards being responsible and doing what right at all times. The ethical theory of utilitarianism and deontology emphasize on the use of various decision-making styles and rules that individuals can use as a guide when they make ethically correct decisions ( Chonko, 2015). Though individuals make decisions by employing different decision rules, decision-making should strive to achieve goals of least harm, beneficence, justice, and respect for autonomy.
