The study is intended to identify sources on crime or victimization. The sources were obtained from ProQuestCriminalJustice website. The study explores how the information from the sources was obtained and how they differ in their approaches to collecting information. The study will explore how the sources report the sampling information and the way the researchers presented the data. Besides, the paper will indicate whether the sources report the sampling approach employed when conducting the research from which the statistics were presented. The study also describes the sampling distribution needed for the information gathered to ensure that the process of statistical inference is effective and representative of a larger population. The study will highlight the sampling method used to identify the subjects that would be appropriate for the study in terms of representativeness and generalizability. The paper will explore various strategies that can be used by researchers to ensure that the sampling approach is improved to increase representativeness and the generalizability of data gathered. Also in situations where no sampling methods are mentioned, an appropriate one would be suggested that would be appropriate to obtain the statistics.

The researchers describe subjects who are mentally ill offenders. The research also explores post-release services that the participants receive and the types of new offenses they commit and the factors that are linked to recidivism. The paper reports the sampling information used in the study. In the study, the researchers reviewed electronic files as well as recorded medical information from the state corrections departments to identify the participants who left the state prisons. The data was gathered from individuals who were identified, which were later provided to public agencies. The statistics were computed on the participants' characteristics as well as the post-release outcomes. Regression analysis was conducted on the information gathered was used to identify the variables, which predict the conviction of new crimes against the offenders. The findings showed that a total of 337 mentally ill subjects were sampled to participate in the study. However, the information obtained indicated that men and women indicated some differences with regards to offenses conducted the diagnosis rate, as well as the rates of drug abuse. The paper was published in the ProQuest website.

The study reviews the available evidence on the implications of institutional programming on both pre and post-release outcomes on offenders. However, the paper does not report the sampling information used. The study focuses on a wide variety of institutional programming interventions provided to the inmates in the state as well as federal prisons. The study examines the empirical evidence on educational programming coupled with cognitive behavioral therapy. The paper reviews the evidence on the implications of the interventions on both pre and post-release outcomes, this was necessary to ensure that the sampling methods used were improved to enhance the representativeness and generalizability of information gathered . The study identifies several conclusions, which can be drawn concerning the effectiveness of institutional programming and then discusses the gap that is present in the literature and makes a proposal on the number of directions that are necessary for future studies. The paper was published in the ProQuest website.

The study deployed past literature from reviews with additional studies that were selected using a search reference list. The paper reports the sampling information used in the study. The studies emphasized on research that mainly emphasized on adult jail or prison populations. The researchers gathered information through the use of an independent measure of mental illness. Also, the research focuses on studies in the forensic setting to ascertain the fitness as well as extension and exclusion criteria to assist in the review. In the research, 24 studies were samples and met the exclusion criteria. Also, all articles used in the study were coded by two independent researchers. Also, the quality of the study was also reviewed by the lead researcher. The data included that 22 screening tools were identified. However, barely 6 of the tool indicated a replication of the studies. In addition, there was a brief summary that was provided based on the application of the techniques because of lack of replication of the studies. Also, the study indicated methodological variations noted across various studies reviewed to improve on the sampling methods. Also, the approach used was effective since it increased the representativeness and generalizability of the information gathered . The paper was published in the ProQuest website.

The study examines the effects of confessions that are genuine and fake ones. The study reports the sampling information used in the study. The author explores the growing awareness of the problem of confession to explore various factors that influence true confessions versus those which are not true. The author obtained information from past studies that may be interpreted by a suspect as the same as an offer of leniency or a heavy punishment or penalty. The aim of the researcher was to further the literature through distinguishing the techniques that could or could not influence the perception of a suspect based on the consequences that are lined to confession. The data obtained indicated that the techniques used to lack the capacity to manipulate the perceived consequences linked with confessions but could increase the rate of false confessions. As such, manipulations of the data obtained, are discussed in the study both practically and theoretically. The paper was published in the ProQuest website.

In this research, a case study approach is used to explore the processes and a set of norms governed by police officers. The paper reports the sampling information used in the study. In the study, the researcher used three research questions. Also, there were a total of 10 cases that were evaluated through observation as well as an interview. On the other hand, there were major process themes that were covered through the use of a pattern matching logic, replication design to determine the manner in which law enforcement officers use a clear process to assist in threat assessment. The study indicated that the same processes were applicable and were ultimately used across several jurisdictions in the area that was researched, which is necessary to increase the representativeness and generalizability of data. The paper was published in the ProQuest website.
