I recently met with the Sonizm Enterprises General Manager and asked him a few questions about his job and the input behind the success of the company. The company is one of the most successful sales and marketing company in the city. I have always admired the management and the prosperity of the company and hoped that I, too, would someday to be able to grow my company into such a big and successful enterprise. In an interview that lasted for about twenty minutes, I presented about five issues to the manager, which he answered very quickly and firmly as well. We met at a restaurant in town during lunchtime for the interview. The first question was about what it takes to manage such a huge and successful enterprise. The second question was about the number of employees at the company and how they are managed. In the third question, I asked about the kind of leadership which emulated by the general manager. The fourth question was about ethical conduct at work and the manager's role in upholding ethical conduct. The last question was about the manager’s approximate annual salary.
Out of the Sonizm General Manager's responses, I learned that for a company to grow strong and become successful, certain factors must be highly considered. These include the welfare of the employees, alignment to company strategies and principles and effective management. I have never put much consideration on the value and the welfare of employees. This interview made me realize how important it is to have satisfied and motivated employees. My work now is to research on more ways of upholding the welfare of employees and keeping them motivated at work.
