Evidence-based practice helps nurses to determine appropriate approaches to addressing health concerns in a community. Systematic and vigorous research in healthcare supports practical evaluation of factors influencing community or individual health. Research supports the selection of a proper resolution process. Providing adequate care services to patients requires integrating appropriate research evidence with patients’ values and clinical expertise. I would integrate clinical knowledge with sufficient research evidence from systematic and vigorous inquiries to promote individualization of care services through the incorporation of patients’ preferences. I would use and lead the inter-professional team to enhance the delivery of care services to individuals, groups, and community members. The competencies gained from inter-professional teamwork would promote the practical application of knowledge in facilitating sufficient clinical decision making.

Baccalaureate nursing education or program permits nurses to operate in a complex healthcare system or environment and assume the responsibilities of a manager of care service and healthcare provider. I have learned to adopt effective inter-professional teamwork to deliver patient-centered care services depending on evidence-based practices in a multicultural environment. Baccalaureate nursing education improves my preparedness to offer patient-oriented care services that identify, uphold, and address patients’ preferences, values, differences, and needs (Moran, Wunderlich, & Rubbelke 2018). I have learned to promote continuous coordination of patient care, active listening, and communication skills with patients. The Baccalaureate nursing education helps promote sufficient education of caregivers and patients on wellness, health, disease prevention, and management.

Community health nursing promotes assessment of risk factors and health trends in a populace to determine priorities for the intended intervention. Community health nursing permits nurses to participate in the evaluation of healthcare services to ensure effective decision making in the utilization of healthcare services. Community health nursing provides care management, health education, and primary care to vulnerable families and individuals (Stanhope et al., 2019). Consequently, the assessment of risk factors, health trends, provision of primary care service to the vulnerable groups, and care management promote high-quality care and patient safety.
