Synopsis
The documentary gives a brief history of Charles Darwin from his childhood. It explains how Darwin was sent to study medicine but did not make it. He later found that he had interest in nature and started travelling around the world in his voyage collecting information about human history. Darwin discovered several fossils of mammals. He travelled to Galapagos Island and discovered the differences in the shells of tortoise depending on which Island they lived. This made him to conclude that species were changing over time.
The movie explains why there are many species on earth and how evolution takes place over time and gave rise to the diversity of species of the earth. The movie is about evolution theory that was adopted by Charles Darwin. Charles Darwin explains the origin of different species on the earth using his theory of evolution and stating that all species on earth are related and share one common origin. He explains the concepts of evolution by excavating fossil and travelling all over the world doing his research to unearth the misery of the origin of species. Charles Dawning used the theory to explain how different species evolved to adapt to their environmental niche. He explains how species have been changing over time. The documentary shows how Darwin's presentation on the theory of evolution was presented with precision and based on evidence. However, it explains the concepts of genes, how it is responsible for structure and shape of different species and how gene mutations may have contributed to what Darwin referred as natural selection. It explains that different species have been found to be sharing the same genes types and how it relates to Darwin’s theory that all species have the same origin.

I do not support that all species originated from one ancestor. A human being and banana are two different species and seem not to have any close similarities. However I believe that species that exhibit the same physical appearances had the same origin for example monkeys, Chimpanzees and baboons seem to share a common ancestor. I do not support that one species would evolve into an entirely different species for example fish evolving gradually into a human being.
I support Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection however I still hold on my thoughts that not all species on earth shares the same origin but there are groups of species that shares the same ancestors. Some animals are similar in many ways for example in reproduction systems, feeding methods and movements. There are different types of birds, and one common feature of birds is beaks. However, their beaks vary in length and shape depending on what they feed on and these differences suggest that birds developed beaks to adapt to their environments.
I support Darwin's explanation on survival for the fittest. Species are in constant competition and are exposed to dangers such as diseases. When there is an outbreak of a disease some species may die while others may survive because they are resistant to the disease. Those that survive will produce offspring s that can stand the disease. Many species became extinct because they could not adapt to the environment, therefore, they were not fit to survive. The variation in species is caused by mutation of genes that took place in the species but those genes were only expressed in their off springs. I do not agree with Darwin's explanation that animals developed a structure when it needed it for its survival. He explains that giraffes developed long necks in order to feed on high vegetations' during dry drought and subsequently passed it to its off springs.
