Civilization

Cultural heritage is very important in any form of civilization in the world today. It is vital for the preservation of the culture of any given country, plus it also gives a sense of moral motive in regards to the progress of that country ( McIntosh & Prentice, 1999 ). The lack of cultural heritage can lead to the destruction of the very pillars that bring about progress in a country.

Prehistory

The definition of pre history by Fierro is a good definition of pre history because pre history is, in essence, the time before the written records emerged ( Fiero, 2015 ). Additionally, he provides the time frame and the location of such occurrence which makes the definition explicit and satisfactory.

The mourning process

The mourning process is an important aspect in sending off a loved one. The Egyptians in the early ages respected the time and process of mourning by carrying out lengthy rituals to mourn the death of a loved one ( Sørensen, 1987 ). I do not think the American people have lost the respect for the process but rather accord it the respect it deserves because they hold a ceremony which honors the story of the lost loved the one with grieving hearts. Every heart has the right to mourn the loss of a loved one whichever way it feels is enough.

Ancient morning hymn/hymn to the Aten

Hymn to the Aten is a longer version of a number of hymn-poems, even longer than the ancient morning hymn by Saint Ambrose. The hymn to the Aten attributes its qualities to the Pharaoh Akhenaten dynasty and it is a reflection of religious artistry ( Atwell, 2000 ). On the other hand, the ancient morning hymn is in prose style and also has a sense of hymnody which had a set of metrical tunes of the Roman soldiers.

Illustration of spell 100

The illustrations are meant to help the deceased to progress to another level of challenges in the Duat. The Illustration of Spell 100 portrays the journey on the barque ( Capozzi, 2006 ). The journey represented the embodiment of primordial waters which lifts the barque.

The sun

The Egyptians referred to the Sun as RA, which is a name of a god and they held a belief that the sun was a symbol of immortality and feared that in times of an eclipse, a dark spirit reigned and feared for death during such times because as Ra grew older and weaker, so did the humanity ( Lockyer, 2006 ).

Obelisk

The modern day architecture of the Obelisk can be found by the Los Angeles River which offers such rare views. It is used by Michael Parker uses it to transport Angelenos to Egypt. It symbolizes the history of the western land grabbing activities and the real estate speculation which was vital in the creation of the city ( Hise & Deverell, 2000 ).

Pyramids

In Los Angeles, the symbolisms portrayed by the Los Angeles Central Library and it is exhibited in both the interior and exterior decorations ( Bottles, 1987 ). The designs are used to show the significance of geometry in standard architectonic forms.

Glass

Before Egyptians discovered glass, the made use of glass as a glaze for beads. The discovery of glass could have been a major factor in the growth of Egypt. Egyptians could trade glass for other products or services that could be of economic importance in the country, which could be a contributing factor in making Egypt soar to greater levels of economic prosperity today ( Duckworth, 2008 ).

The sphinx at Gizeh

The Sphinx of Gizeh is carved from the bedrock of the Giza plateau. It is a very mysterious carving from the ancient times of Egypt. It has the body of a lion whi9ch as the head of a god or a king and it symbolizes wisdom and strength ( Hale & Collins, 2016 ). It tells a story of a sacred cemetery that gives a stern warning to any dangerous forces.

Theocracy

Theocracy can dictate culture because religion can have a way of dictating man7y aspects of one’s life and in the overhaul, it dictates a people’s culture ( Frolova, 2016 ). It is true that theocracy can make a culture thrive because it opens up the potential of for mortal coercion, either in a good way or any way, and either way, it can lead to a culture thriving.

Scene from Tomb of Neb-Amon

The scene tells a story of the of the keenly observed Nebamun vignettes enjoying play a work. The scene explicitly shows that the family decorated the small tomb with very vibrant images that were very engaging and they hoped it would continue in the afterlife ( Hale & Collins, 2016 ).
